6pm - 10pm

Ngā Rangatahi Toa + Emory Douglas

Added to MyNight

Mangere Arts Centre

Look back to look forward with a retrospective of Ngā Rangatahi Toa’s transformational community development work, The Sole Project, Art ACTion and Manawa Ora, alongside an exhibition of the revolutionary work of Emory Douglas (USA).

Ngā Rangitahi Toa supports marginalised youth to fulfil their potential through creative and mindful mentoring.

As the Revolutionary Artist and the Minister of Culture for The Black Panther Party, Douglas harnessed the power of images to create an artistic legacy of rebellion and hope.

See their struggle made hopeful, side by side on White Night.

7.45pm NRT present spoken-word, music and theatre performances and unveil their collaboration with Emory Douglas. Followed by a Q&A.
