Travel through the bustling ports and rich material culture of Southern China and Hong Kong with artists Shen Ming Cun and Peter McIntyre.
Internationally acclaimed Chinese artist Shen Ming Cun’s works examine the unique traditions, costumes and heritage of minority tribes in Southern China. His depictions of jewellery, hand-made clothing, earthenware, domestic interiors and individual tribal members, provide an element of ethnography, whilst preserving in paint, the daily lives of these minority tribes.
The exhibition will also feature scenes from the former British colony of Hong Kong, captured in vivid brushstrokes by renowned New Zealand artist Peter McIntyre.
